Installation : Opencart OTP Login

Steps to Install the Module

Go to Opencart’s Admin panel -> Extension -> Installer

  1. Go to Opencart’s Admin Panel and click on ‘Extensions’ to see the drop-down list.
  2. Then click on ‘Installer’ from the drop-down list.
  3. After clicking on ‘Installer’, you will see a file upload icon on the top right of the page, as shown below. (After uploading, you need to save your file in your system with a name that ends with ‘.ocmod.zip’).
  4. You will see an entry with the module name on your screen. Then click on the green button to install the module.

Permission : Opencart OTP Login

Now, we need to give permission for the module to the Administrators of the store.

Opencart’s Admin panel-> System-> User -> User Groups -> Edit Administrator

  1. Go to Opencart’s Admin Panel and click on ‘System’ to see the drop-down list.
  2. Then click on ‘Users’
  3. When you click on ‘Users’, you will see a drop-down list. Then click on ‘User Groups.’
  4. Edit Administrator to allow permission to the user.

  1. Set access and modify permission for all related modules.

Configuration : Opencart OTP Login

Opencart’s Admin panel-> Extensions-> Extensions-> Choose The Extension Type -> Modules-> Plugin

  1. Go to Opencart’s Admin Panel and click on ‘Extensions’ to see the drop-down list.
  2. Again click on ‘Extensions’ from the drop-down list.
  3. Choose your extension type.

  1. Click on the green button and install the module.

  1. Click the edit button fill in all the configuration details and set the status to ‘Enable’.

Account SID: The admin will add the account SID received after creating the account.

Auth Token: The admin will add the auth token received after creating the account.

Service SID: The admin will add the service SID received after creating the account.

Status: With this, the admin can Enable/Disable the functionality.

Note: If you don’t have Twilio account set up, then click on the right bottom link to set up a new account.

So, here we complete the module installation, permission, and configuration part.

Store View: Opencart OTP Login

Once all the backend configurations are done, the customer will find a Button (Login with OTP) on the Login Page. The customer will click on that button to log in using their mobile number.

When  customers try to log in using a phone number, they must enter the registered phone number to get the OTP.

Then, if customers enter\ the correct OTP, they will log in with their account.

The customer will select the country. After that, the customer needs to enter the registered mobile number and click on Submit.

After that, the customers will enter the OTP and click on the Submit button. If the OTP entered is correct, then the customer will navigate to their account.
